About The Artist Garden
James specializes in Hardscape – stone work, particularly Bluestone as well as the use of brick or other stone elements for the construction of patios, walls, and walkways. He also has experience in all aspects of a garden from plants to irrigation and lighting. His many clients appreciate his friendly, personal approach to the design and implementation of each project. He was recently cited for his work in the New York Times article “A Garden Reborn”, June 4, 2009 and was featured in Apartment Therapy.
James is a painter and acclaimed author of The Language of the Land.
He is also a respected expert in the art of Sub-Sahara Africa. James has lived and worked in Brooklyn Heights and NYC for over 20 years.
Pars has worked on many residential projects and gardens throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. Previously, he was a principal at a Design Build company for over 4 years in addition to a consultant and project architect on many structures and hardscapes.
His keen eye and knowledge of architecture and construction help navigate and propose to clients very upscale designs without compromising budgets. Currently, his projects include several restaurants and residences.
